Activities Near Bled
Bled is located at the edge of the Triglav National Park, one of the oldest parks in Europe. Covering 880 square kilometers, it accounts for 4% of Slovenia’s surface and offers visitors a chance to admire pure, untamed nature. For a unique cultural experience, visit the Gingerbread Museum, Lectar House of Tradition, where gingerbread has been crafted since 1766. Visitors can tour the factory, sample delicious gingerbread, explore various gingerbread designs from around the world, and even participate in a gingerbread-making workshop. Another fascinating stop is the Iron Forging Museum in Kropa, an old smelting and iron forging site located below the slopes of Jelovica, southwest of Radovljica. This museum showcases ironwork dating back to the 15th century and beyond, with an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable team eager to share the history of Slovenian metal craftsmanship.
